Nicolas Cage Podcast

Oct 2016

This week we finally bring in another Cage explorer, Ed Jefferson to help us along the way and confirm that everything is going to be alright.

Ed tried using his watching of 70 odd Nic Cage film to win the lottery and you can find out how that went by reading his blog over at: medium.com/@edjeff

We also play a lot of clips from 'Vampire's Kiss' which you could probably just watch on YouTube...

The long-forgotten, straight-to-VHS, Nicolas Cage classic 'Never on Tuesday' is the subject of this week's PodCage. Watch in wonder as he gets out of his car! Marvel as he says two lines in a weird voice! And try to keep your jaw off the floor as he gets back in his car and drives out of the movie forever...

Yes folks, this performance is truly incredible. But that's not all! This podcast also includes regular features Jacket of the Week and 9/11 News. Your hosts disagree yet again about the quality of the movie. And Sam proves he's a sartorial ignoramus by attacking Tom's burgundy combo.

We made it to Episode 10 and to the delightful 'Moonstruck'. Two eventual Oscar winners going toe-to-toe in a moon-themed romantic comedy.

The episode features the first real disagreement between us as Tom tries to say that a film he laughed all the through wasn't funny.

Also we forgot to do Jacket of the Week so it is Nic Cage's tiny dressing gown.

Join your favourite pair of tits Tom and Sam as this week they watch Raising Arizona. A great film! That they've seen before! And as a result don't have much interesting to say...

Luckily they're handed a crutch in the form of an interview with burlesque producer and MC, sincere Nicolas Cage fan, and all-round great guy Bastard Keith!

Are you a racist who doesn't feel your burlesque needs are adequately provided for? Then this is the podcast for you!

Time-travelling romantic comedy Peggy Sue Got Married is the subject of this week's PodCage as Tom and Sam learn just what kind of a film could get nominated for three (THREE!) Oscars in 1986.

Nicolas Cage has everything in this movie: the teeth, the hair, the eyes, and a role that finally suits him.

Join us on an audio adventure through chilli, burlesque and the only surefire way to make decent money out of time-travel.

This week we manage to make it through the Canadian rowing extravaganza 'The Boy in Blue'. We also try and work out what Nic Cage was up to in 1985 and Sam pulls his teeth out to be more like NC.

Join your friends Tom and Sam as this week they watch the whacky/poignant, pre/post-Vietnam, dog-catching/bird-sexing goodtime movie 'Birdy' (starring Nicolas Cage and Mondel Milroy).

Ever wondered how to make a pigeon suit? Ever wondered where Birdy's mum is hiding your baseballs? Ever wondered why Germans get aroused in aviaries? Within this podcast lie the answers to all the questions we'll just assume you're asking, in and of itself.

This week we are a bit low energy due it being the second in a Nic Cage double bill, but we just about get through the Francis Ford Coppola jazz and gangster epic 'The Cotton Club'. Sam also has a chat with Emma Samways who got Nicolas Cage to turn the Christmas lights on in Bath with some unintended consequences...

This week we quite enjoy the hazy nostalgia of Racing with the Moon (staring Spicoli). We also get some nice feedback from amateur radioteers 'Sorry Not in Service'.
